National award winning Music composer, Producer & Director Vishal Bhardwaj was born on August 4, 1965 in Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh, India. His wife Rekha Bhardwaj is a playback singer of Bollywood. His mother Satya Bhardwaj, was a homemaker, and father Ram Bhardwaj, was a sugarcane inspector.
Vishal Bhardwaj is graduated from Hindu College, University of Delhi. As a director and Producer his best contributions are Maqdee, Maqbool, Matru ki bijli ka madola, The blue umbrella, Omkara, 7 Khoon maaf, Kaminey, Blood brothers, Ek Thi Daayan, Dedh Ishqiya, Haider, Drishyam, Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola, Rangoon. In 1995, Bhardwaj made his Bollywood debut by giving music to Fauji, but it went unnoticed. Later he composed hit songs Cheena Thana, Khamakha, O Saathi Re, Bekaraan, Jhelum, Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola, Beedi, Namak, Awaara, Kash Laga, Kaminey, Oye Boy Charlie, Dugg Duggi Dugg, Jag Ja, Yun Hua, Ab Mujhe Koi, Badal Uthiya, Badi Dheere Jali, Laakad, Ibn-E-Batuta, Beedi Remix, Jyoti Jalaile, Aslam Bhai, U Me Aur Hum, Naina, Maqbool Theme, Jab Bhi Cigarette, U Me Aur Hum, Nomvula, Daarrrling, Sakala Kala Doctor, Shoonya,etc. in which he majorly worked with Poet & Lyricist Gulzar.
